Swirls – Appliqued Wall Art

Description

Swirls is a very colorful quilted wall art using bright, vivid batik fabrics.  The ‘swirls’ are a free hand cut design which is then appliqued onto the background square.   Each square then has a ‘wave’ design around it set off by 4 patch squares in the corner squares.  The applique stitch is a blanket stitch and the background is quilted in a random meandering stitch all done free hand.   It is 34″ x 33″ and made from cotton fabrics, cotton and rayon threads and an 80/20 cotton/polyester batting.   It has a rod pocket on the back for easy hanging.
