Well it’s been a while since I’ve posted.  I finally got back to work on my black bear project.  It has just been hanging on the wall staring at me for quite a while.  I’ve been busy working on other projects: block of the month last year for quilt guild and now for this next year I’ve designed a mystery block of themonth.  So of course I have to get it all cut out and made before hand to make sure that everything works out okay.  Now all I have to do is get the written instructions ready.  That’s a BIG job.  I got side tracked making more patches for the karate tournament.  And I was busy helping out with the Stillwater Quilt Guild’s quilt show in  April.    But…here is an in-progress photo of my black bear.  I REALLY like the way he’s turning out.  I use so much thread on these projects that it always amazes me.  I found a really nice hand dyed fabric at the International Quillt Festival in Cincinnati in April that I’m going to use for the background once I’ve finished stitching him.  So that’s about it so far.   Now that I’m back to work on him hopefully I’ll post more often about how it’s turning out.  Image
