Pinwheel BOM I can’t believe I haven’t posted a picture of this quilt. But as I was looking through my files for a copy of the photo of this quilt to enter into a show I realized that I didn’t have any photos of it yet. Duh!! So, after getting out the quilt frame and hanging it up, I took several photos. I designed this quilt myself!! We used it in the Stillwater Quilt Guild as our block of the month project in 2010-2011. Each month the members were given a different block to design using their own fabric choices. Then in May (I think) we showed all of them and the members voted on a viewer’s choice. It was a fun project. This year we are doing a mystery block of the month – meaning they get a block (or two) each month to put together but they have no idea what the finished project will look like. It’s been quite a challenge for them and for me in putting it together and getting the instructions right. However I can’t show the photo of that mystery quilt until next May when the block of the month is finished. Then I’ll post a pic of it. I also have another project that I am extremely happy with but I can’t show it until after Christmas just in case the recipient reads this blog (which I doubt). But…after Christmas I’ll post it.
I’m going to enter my black bear and the Pinwheel BOM into a couple of quilt show – the OKC Winter Quilt show and the Dallas Quilt Show. We’ll see how they do.
